ARTDRUMS STUDIO POLICIES

Booking: A 50% deposit of the total booking time is required for all sessions and must be made three weeks before reserved studio time. Payment must be done via Zelle, Venmo or cash. Deposits are nonrefundable, but sessions may be rescheduled with 72 hours notice at no penalty. ALL BOOKING MUST BE CONFIRMED BY EMAIL.

We request that only the musicians participating in the recording session stay in the studio during recording times. A limited number of guests may be admitted by request, but at our sole discretion.

Payment: Full payment is due at the conclusion of your session. Payment may be made by cash, personal or company check, money order, or Paypal. There is a $35 fee for returned checks.

Audio files/Masters: Your account must be paid in full prior to receiving your recording session files. No media will be turned over to you until full payment is made. Files are generally provided online or copied to your hard drive.

Billable Items: All the time the engineer is working on your project, that time is billable. This includes when you are present in the studio with the engineer. But it may also include other times when the engineer is working on your project, such as doing requested edits, mastering, “bouncing” a rough mix, or uploading your tracks, transferring your session files to your hard drive or to your online account.

Studio Time: Studio time starts to count from the time you scheduled your recording session(s). When you indicate you are finished and the equipment is no longer in use the clock stops.

Breaks: We suggest taking 15 minute break every 2 hours of recording, but you decide when you want to take breaks. If during long sessions you wish to take a meal break, you may do so off the clock. If the engineer encounters a studio technical problem, the time it takes to solve the problem is off the clock.

Starting Time: When you schedule time, it is expected you will arrive 5 minutes before scheduled session time not earlier. It should be understood that we will bill you from the beginning of your scheduled time regardless of what time you arrive. Studio time is billed in 15 minute increments. Please contact us if you are running late.

Ending Time: We ask all musicians to break down their gear as soon as the recording session ends. In most cases we allow at least 1/2 hour break between studio sessions. It is always a good idea to plan your session well, estimate the amount of time you will need, and schedule everything accordingly. If you do not use all hours in a 8 hour/day block you still have to pay for the whole block.

Weekend Scheduling: Sunday sessions are subject to an additional $10 per hour overtime rate and a minimum of 4 hours must be scheduled.

Graphic Design: We offer graphic design. All recordings done here receive a free cover art. The remaining graphic design cost will be calculated based on the size/amount of pages of your CD booklet or CD package. It is a good idea to discuss graphic design concepts with the Art Director before your recording is finished, so as not to delay your release.

Food and Beverages: No food or drinks are allowed in the recording area at any time. Food and drinks may be only brought into the designated area and must be kept away specially from equipment racks, console, computers, drums, piano, and microphones.

No Smoking: Smoking is prohibited. If you choose to smoke outdoors, please use the receptacle provided for this purpose.

Drugs are strictly prohibited:

We reserve the right to deny access to our premises and our equipment to those clearly under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Damages: Client shall be responsible for any loss or damage to Artdrums premises and/or property caused by the client, the client’s employees, guests, and invitees, as a result of misuse, negligence, carelessness or willful misconduct.

Thank you for reviewing the studio policy. Please contact us if you have any questions.
